Before you go camping for the first time
We recommend that you pitch your tent at home before you use it to go camping first time. This will help you to familarise yourself with the components of your new tent. It will also give you the confidence to pitch your new tent on arrival, particularly if its dark or if the weather takes a turn for the worse.
The weathering process is essential on all new tent products. We advise you to erect it and leave it to get thoroughly wet before you allow it to dry naturally.
Pitch your tent on an even patch of ground, preferably with a slight incline to aid water run-off. Remove all large and sharp stones that could cause damage to the groundsheet. Avoid pitching under trees, as sap could drip off them, marking the tent.
